Compliance Building Surveyor

**About the role**
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and key stakeholders in relation to works instructed and managed by the service.
- Manage all assigned cases from start-to-finish in a professional and efficient manner whilst ensuring that appropriate stakeholders and relevant databases are updated efficiently.
- Prepare and present reports for managers.
- Participate in contract meetings and contract briefings.
- Manage a range of contractors, ensuring they deliver in accordance with their contract and KPI's.
- Undertake pre-inspections and building surveys to identify defects including preparation of detailed reports, specifications and cost estimates where necessary.
- Provide effective and appropriate repair solutions ensuring all current and applicable regulations are complied with.
- Provide technical advice on building defects and diagnosis to the organisation.
- Assist in the delivery of specialist work programmes, ensuring works are to standard, contractor performance and in line with KPI's and value for money is achieved.
- Attend and give evidence in court as an expert witness in cases where legislation or building regulations have been breached.
- Ensure safe working procedures are adhered to at all times.

**About you**
- We are looking for you to bring:
- It is essential that you bring demonstrable experience of using and managing various IT platforms and must be able to show proficiency with Excel.
- You must be able to work in a cost effective manner, with the ability to provide customer focused services that deliver high quality outcomes and meet all statutory, regulatory and contractual responsibilities.
- You must also be able to deliver high quality maintenance services to customers through the provision of professional technical advice, project and contractor management.
**Be happy to form part of the organisations emergency out of hours rota, this is a compulsory element of the role and will require working evenings and weekends on a rota basis.**
