**Job title**:General Assistant

**Work Location**:East London, E20 1GN

**Pay rate**:£12.00/ hour

**Working hours**:Full Time, Permanent, 45 hours. Shifts are scheduled on a rota basis between 11:30am(earliest start time) - 10:30pm(latest finish time) -Subject to changes, weekdays and weekends.

**Job purpose**: As General Assistant you will be **COOKING**. The role involves extensive food preparation such as ingredients preps, assembling dishes, helping with deliveries, ensuring enough stock, and keeping all working areas organised and clean.

**Your duties will include**:

- Extensive food preparation;
- Cooking rice/ ramen/ Udon/ yakisoba etc
- Frying Gyoza/ Takoyaki/ Katsu etc
- **You will be handling meat products including Chicken, Pork, Beef, Lamb and Fish.**:

- Operating the till
- Serving a customers behind the counter in friendly and professional manner, quickly and efficiently;
- Maintaining hygiene standards
- Other tasks that might be associated with your role.
- This role requires you to stand for your whole shift (excluding breaks)
- **Lifting, bending, carrying and stretching on a regular basis**

**What we are looking for**:

- **Weekend availability **is a **MUST**:

- Have proven kitchen experience in the fast paced environment is ideal.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Passion for working in the kitchen and delivering excellent food quality.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication.
- An understanding of Food Safety standards.
- Ability to multitask with a "hands on" approach to work.
- Experience within a Japanese restaurant/ production is an advantage.
- Eligible to work in the UK- YMS / working holiday visa welcome.
