**The Company**

Our client is a multi-divisional provider of hire equipment throughout the UK. Their nationwide Trenching and Shoring division hire a range of equipment across the construction, utilities and infrastructure industries which will help put trench boxes inplace such as chain slings, manhole lifter, ladders, lifting pins, manhole chain clamps and counterbalanced davit systems.

**The Role**

Reporting directly to the Business Development Manager, the Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for maximising Trenching & Shoring hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customer and winning new business within the Plymouth/Devonarea.

This will include:

- Identify and maximise Trenching & Shoring hire revenue opportunities from existing major accounts and any new target accounts.
- Preparation and delivery of presentations to major account customers at director/senior procurement level, in conjunction with Business Development Manager.
- To liaise with Regional Sales Managers and their sales teams across the company to ensure pro-active promotion of hire opportunities for Trenching & Shoring equipment within their existing customer base.
- To develop a close working relationship with Regional Directors and their General Managers across the company to ensure full confidence in the Division product offering and level of service.
- To actively promote and support all products in the Survey and Safety Division and to offer full support to the current customer base via the existing sales force.
- To work closely with the Trenching & Shoring Division General Managers to ensure the highest standards of service are met and exceeded.
- To ensure all demonstrations and/or training session are conducted in a professional, organised, efficient and informative manner.
- To display a high level of integrity and trust at all times and to represent the brand in a professional and proud manner.
- To attend depot/customer trade days to promote the Trenching & Shoring product offering.
- Monthly updating of Customer Contact Database.
- Preparation and submission of monthly reports to Trenching & Shoring Business Development Manager
- Attending and reporting at regional sales meetings
- Organising and attending major account customer entertainment events.

**The Person**
- Considerable experience working in an area sales role within the Trenching & Shoring/Hire industry is essential.
- A proven track record in exceeding sales targets and generating revenue growth by maximising opportunities from existing customers and winning new business
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload
- Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word, and CRM systems
- Driving Licence (Essential)
