We are looking for a mid-level Interaction Designer to work on the design and delivery of new products and services from prototype to delivery. The successful Interaction Designer will be someone that wants to contribute to the design of high-profile and ground-breaking products. You adopt a user-centric approach and are developing and broadening design skills in your career. You're someone who enjoys collaborating with different teams across behavioural science, engineering and digital. You'll have the desire to build inclusive products that serve as many audiences as possible.

Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people’s health.

**What you’ll be doing**

Working with cross-functional teams across Our Future Health, you'll be a major part of the design of one or more products, from prototyping and researching to design and implementation.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Help develop, maintain, and implement a design system to be used across our digital platforms.
- Implement new ways of working within multi-disciplinary teams and advocate for design and user-centricity throughout the process.
- Contribute to and help shape design culture at Our Future Health.

**The environment**

You'll be working in a multidisciplinary environment surrounded by experts in their individual fields. Every single person, whether they sit within our product, technology, epidemiology, or behavioural science teams, is working together to achieve our goals.

**Requirements**:
To succeed, you will have some of the following skills and experience:

- A portfolio that showcases your work.
- Experience in user testing, research, and iterative design of digital products.
- Proficiency in prototyping and wire-framing.
- Experience advocating for UCD within an organisation.
- Experience working on live products with technical and business constraints.
- Experience working on collaborative, multidisciplinary teams with developers.
- Attention to detail needed to craft great UI that supports our UX goals
- Experience in handing over to developers and working with them to ensure designs are implemented as intended
- Consideration in designing for varied accessibility needs, such as colour contrast and implementation of a design system.
