**ROTATIONAL CLINICAL FELLOW PROGRAMME - Surgical Specialties**

This is a unique opportunity to undertake a Rotational Clinical Fellow role in Surgical Specialties, this role will see you join our Rotational Clinical Fellow Programme where you can work in up to six different placements in various Surgical Specialties.

You will be allocated a Supervising Consultant who will be responsible for ensuring that your training needs are being met and we also offer up to 10 days of study leave per annum to support your professional development.

Our clinicians across all specialties have a strong track record in education and training; locally, regionally, and nationally, so they are able provide our clinical fellows with the skills and competencies to facilitate their entry into core and specialty training posts.

**Main duties of the job**:
The Divisions of Surgery, Neurosciences and Integrated Care deliver care across the breadth of acute medicine, critical care, stroke medicine, gastro-intestinal, endocrine, non-interventional cardiology, neurological and gynaecological surgery, trauma and orthopaedics. SRFT is a tertiary referral centre for gastro-intestinal and urological cancer, neuro-urology & reconstruction, and houses one of two national intestinal failure centres.

We deliver highly complex spinal and neurosurgery as well as being the busiest stroke unit in the country. SRFT is also proud to host the Greater Manchester Neurosciences Centre, one of the largest in the country with some of the best clinical outcomes.

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust a designated Major Trauma Centre (MTC) for Greater Manchester in partnership with Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and the Emergency General Surgery Service contributes to this. Salford Royal is a tertiary referral centre for intestinal failure, upper GI, and endocrine surgery, as well as providing general and colorectal surgery.
