Midwifery Support Worker

As a Maternity support Worker you would be delivering high quality care to women and their families within the Sandwell and West Birmingham area and working closely with new moms and their babies. this will include travelling between our hospitals, GP clinics, Children's centers and families' homes.

Applicants will be expected to work independently whilst remaining under the supervision of midwives. this will include breastfeeding support, phlebotomy, providing care for new mothers and their babies during the postnatal period, supporting midwives in antenatal clinics, undertaking neonatal bloods spot test and performing weight checks for babies. you will also be required to work with electronic maternity records and be responsible for clinical stock and equipment.
