We are currently seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Officer to join our People Operations team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract (mat cover) to contribute to enhancing our employee experience.

**Role Overview**:
The HR Officer at Farrat, known internally as the People Officer, holds a crucial position in ensuring the smooth and positive journey of our employees throughout their life-cycle within the company. Collaborating closely with the People Operations Manager and the wider HR team, this role involves designing and implementing employee guidance materials, streamlining processes, handling administrative tasks, supporting talent acquisition, managing data, fostering stakeholder relationships, and providing support for employee relations. The People Officer is pivotal in creating and maintaining a supportive and inclusive workplace aligned with Farrat's values.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Implementation of Guidance Materials**: Collaborate with the People function to develop and implement employee and manager guidance materials.
- **Process Improvement and Simplification**: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the employee experience.
- **HR Administrative and Support Duties**: Undertake general HR administrative tasks to support the People function.
- **Employee Life-cycle Support**: Assist in advising and supporting colleagues on key HR processes and issues.
- **Recruitment and On-boarding Support**: Aid in recruitment, induction, and on-boarding processes.
- **Data Collation and Reporting**: Assist in collating and producing HR-related data and reports.
- **Primary People-Related Contact**: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, ensuring timely resolutions.
- **Employee Relations Support**: Provide support for Employee Relations cases, covering various aspects.
- **Policy and Legislation Advice**: Offer guidance on HR policies, procedures, and legislation.
- **Stakeholder Relationship Building**: Build relationships within the organisation to support HR initiatives.
- **Leave Management**: Manage leave arrangements in accordance with company policies and legislation.
- **People Manager Support**: Provide guidance and coaching to People Managers.
- **Payroll and Contractual Letters**: Oversee staff payroll and create contractual letters.
- **Additional Responsibilities**: Lead HR campaigns, participate in the Social Committee, maintain HR systems, conduct exit interviews, stay updated on employment legislation, and drive continuous improvements in People processes.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience in HR, preferably as an HR Officer or HR Generalist.
- Strong background in various HR functions across the employee lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
- Professional certifications in HR advantageous. (desirable not essential)
- Familiarity with HR systems and employment legislation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
