Job description
- Support Worker - Skelmersdale_
We are looking to recruit qualified Support Workers who are caring, dynamic and highly motivated, who have an excellent understanding and experience of working and supporting service users with complex needs.

Responsibilities for the Role Include:

- To support the service user to meet their needs in the most appropriate way by following individual care plans and the community independent living policies and procedures.
- Promote residents’ choice, independence, dignity, privacy and fulfillment of other rights.
- Maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our service users first, this will involve domestic duties.
- Support residents to maintain their personal cleanliness, general hygiene and appearance as described within their individual care plans. This will include intimate care.
- Assisting residents in administering their medication.

Maintaining the high standards of care that community independent living provides.

Essential Criteria for the Care Role Includes:

- NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care at Level 2 or above is desirable.
- Previous experience as a care support worker.
- Must have an excellent understanding and experience working with service users with complex needs
- Excellent working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and how to implement them.
- Caring and compassionate towards people in need of care and support.
- A real desire and capability to achieve the highest standards of care.
- Must be self-motivated, creative and keen to learn.
- Excellent effective communication and collaborative skills.
- Able to act in a professional manner at all times ensuring professional boundaries.
- Willingness to work flexibly and to keep knowledge and skills up to date.
- Ready to commit to the role in its entirety.
- Driver essential with Full UK Drivers Licence.
- Committed to valuing diversity and promoting equality for all.

All applicants must be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Checks (DBS).

**Salary**: £9.50-£13.00 per hour

Shift:

- 12 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Personal protective equipment provided. Temperature screenings. Sanitisation, disinfection or cleaning procedures in place

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Skelmersdale: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- DRIVERS LICENSE (preferred)

Work Location: One location
