As part of our continued expansion, our Water Technologies team is looking for an Estimator to join the team in our facility in Dalgety Bay. You will be involved in preparing analytical estimates and realistic tenders that ensures business sustainabilitythrough securing contracts. Part of your role will involve calculating and prepare tender submissions, as well as supporting the wider Estimating team, to maximise opportunities for the business.

Some of Your Key Duties of the Role Include:

- Liaising with Clients and their Professional representatives
- Review tender documents assessing scope, risk involved, tender complexity and provide feedback.
- Work in a collaborative and proactive manner with other members of the Estimating Team
- Preparation of Bill of Quantities and material Take Offs and pricing thereof.
- Produce enquiry schedules for scope of works and packages required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications for Sub-contracted scopes.
- Fully ascertain the cost implications of programme by working with a Project Engineer/Site Manager/Planner to determine accurate project deliverables and associated timescales of a project.
- Establish output and production rates to accurately determine progress and completion rates, including allowances for risks and other unforeseen circumstances.
- Calculating a final figure for the estimated cost, supplemented by adjustments for overheads and profit, and present a finalised tender price build-up.
- Pricing tenders in accordance with Framework agreed Schedules of Rates and Prices, if required.
- Understanding the terms and conditions of the contract and assessing the cost for any insurances, warranties, bonds, performance penalties, etc.
- Attend tender price review meetings in the presence of the Tender Team with Directors or Project Teams.
- Provide support and liaison with other disciplines including Directors, Managers, Planners, Quantity Surveyors, Design Co-ordinators, Buyers, etc.
- Provide compliant tender deliverables to meet the business timescales to realise Client return dates, arranging RSE tender review meetings and preparing documentation to meet the required timescales.

What Do You Need?
- Experience within an Estimating position, with any experience in a process related environment being advantageous, but not necessary.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to allow the preparation of relevant documentation.
- Ability to be able to read and understand the sequencing of programmes or schedules.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines and communicate effectively at all levels both internally and with Clients.
- Although predominantly office based, there is a requirement to attend out of office meetings and visit Client sites. This may also require working away from home if the site visits or Client meetings are not local to the RSE office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
