We are currently seeking a Programme Assistant to join our team.
**Background**
Culture Shift is an arts charity delivering programmes for marginalised young people and adults across Sussex. These range from wellbeing programmes in schools to monthly carer events and support for an award-winning band of learning disabled musicians. We are passionate about the role the arts can play to bring people together, to connect and thrive. We are a small core team currently based at East Sussex College in Lewes and supported by a large team of freelance artists and other professionals.
**Job purpose**
The post holder will provide core support to the Programme Leads in the administration and delivery of all current and future programmes. This role would suit someone who is keen to gain experience of working with a variety of people within many different community settings.
The role requires a highly motivated individual, someone who can work autonomously, is pro-active and intuitive, a strong collaborator and a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is happy to be called upon to support wider team activities as required.
**Key responsibilities**
Programme delivery:
- Assisting in the day-to-day delivery of Culture Shift programmes across Children &
Young People, Adult & Community and Education Settings.
- Identifying and collecting data and information related to programmes on Salesforce
(our CRM system) working alongside the Digital Communications and Data Assistant.
- Supporting project resource development which will include generating material,
proof-reading and supplying content for social media, and digital marketing use.
Event organization:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of events (both in-person, virtual and hybrid).
- To be a point of contact with project participants, sending out communication and
General:
- Supporting the organisation and team with ad hoc tasks that may arise.
- Supporting with general operational activity such as minute taking, room booking.
- Shared team responsibility for managing office environment, equipment, and
resources.
- Contributing to newsletters.
**Requirements**:
- Experience working within an arts, charity, or community environment.
- Experience of successfully supporting the delivery of in-person or online events.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills with a keen eye
for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS office.
- Knowledge of social media & digital marketing.
- Self-managing and highly self-motivated; works well independently and with others.
- Ability to present at internal meetings.
