OVERALL MISSION OF PREMIER

To enable people to put their faith at the heart of daily life and to bring Christ to their communities.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

This vital role comes at a key time in Premier’s history and will play an essential part of the charity’s future. This public-facing role leads the development of Premier’s major giving programmes including Major Donors, Trusts, Legacies and special campaigns.

You will personally manage a small portfolio of existing or prospective significant major donors, line manage a team of talented fundraisers, and lead Premier’s Legacy and Trust fundraising programmes.

You will be a leader within the wider Fundraising team and contribute to a culture of growth and innovation that will drive Premier to achieve our next strategic goals.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

**Key Relationships Development & Income Generation**
- Personally manage a small portfolio of key relationships (10-20) with Premier’s most significant supporters and opportunities.
- Attend donor meetings with Relationship Managers particularly in instances where donors have multiple engagement opportunities, and the fundraising request is of a complex nature.
- Make strategic decisions regarding the most appropriate journey for individuals and trusts.
- Work with external consultants to identify key trust opportunities, create proposals and manage on-going relationships.
- Act as a public-facing ambassador for Premier at networking events, representing the organisation and its values, engaging with attendees, and enhancing our public image and relationships.
- Spearhead Premier’s Legacy fundraising programme by developing the existing communication plan, messaging, materials, and personally following up with legacy donors and queries.
- Collaborate with others at Premier to maintain up-to-date Legacy (and In Memoriam) messaging across various platforms - including websites, printed materials, and radio messaging.
- Ensure meticulous record keeping of legacy notifications in the fundraising database, liaising with Executors, Solicitors, Auditors and Premier’s Finance team as necessary (supported by an administrator)

**Team Management**
- Steer the team of Relationship Managers, guiding their efforts to raise funds for Premier’s special campaigns including matched-giving, capital projects, and digital initiatives.
- Ensure effective progression of fundraisers' efforts, overseeing the creation of compelling proposals and maximisation of opportunities to achieve financial targets
- Plan a calendar of engagement opportunities with the Relationship Managers, utilising diverse engagement methods such as face-to-face events and Zoom meetings. Help identify the target audience, key messaging, and follow-up actions for each activity.
- Develop a calendar of stewardship activities to facilitate long-term partnerships with major donors within a wider community of giving.
- Operate a smooth-running department with the support of an administrator who you will line manage. The administrator will also support the general fundraising programme.

**Strategy & Leadership**
- Collaborate with Premier’s Executive Leadership and external consultants to strategically shape and enhance Premier’s Major Giving strategy and case for support.
- Contribute to the development of materials and resources to support success across major giving programmes.
- Strategically manage and optimise Premier's Pledge Programme, a key regular giving initiative.
- The division of your time amongst your responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of Premier. However, we anticipate you will likely devote 40% of your time to cultivating key relationships and trusts, 30% on running the Legacy Programme and 30% on team management and leadership strategy._
