Student Communications Coordinator

The University of Manchester’s Faculty of Humanities is offering the opportunity to be part of a new Student Communications Team which will deliver engaging, inclusive and accessible communications to our diverse student community.
We’re looking for an innovative and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for working with students. We are recruiting four identical roles, one dedicated to each School in the Faculty. The role will sit in the Humanities Marketing, Communications and Recruitment Team, so you’ll be part of a professional community of practice.
**What you’ll do**
Putting the experience of our students at the heart of what we do, you’ll work with students, the Student Union and staff across the University of Manchester to ensure we are communicating in an impactful way that resonates with our diverse student community.
Based in one of our four academic schools, you’ll work in partnership with our Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) teams, Student Engagement Officers and Postgraduate Research colleagues to guide, develop and support their communications to students in line with our in line with our strategic approach to student communications and our Student communications commitment”.
You’ll work closely with our student community - listening to their views so we can improve how we communicate with them and helping to make sure their voice is heard.
As part of the new Faculty Student Communications Team, you will report to the Humanities Student Communications Officer. and You’ll work in partnership with your fellow Coordinators, to make sure communications across each School are consistent, and to create a culture of continuous development and best practice.
The roles will also work with colleagues in the wider Humanities Marketing, Communications and Recruitment Team, Humanities TLSE Team and to deliver projects with the University’s central Student Communications team, ensuring the voice of the schools and the Faculty is heard.
This role would suit people who have skills and experience in:
- developing and delivering engaging and accessible communications, campaigns and associated engagement activities to diverse audiences.
- communicating with student/youth audiences with a range of backgrounds, ethnicities, genders and abilities.
- copywriting

- presenting
- management of end-to-end, dynamic campaigns
- excellent planning, organisational and project management skills
