Training & Competency Officer

Our National Financial Planning and Wealth Management client was created to address an increasing demand for financial advice services within the UK. Their aim is to deliver sophisticated financial planning and investment management solutions through theirAppointed Representative (AR) network.

Due to team expansion the business now seeks to appoint 2 qualified, competent and experienced Training & Competency Officers in the Yorkshire area to work alongside the Senior Supervisor. Please read on for further details.

**Training and Competence**
- Support the supervisor in delivering the risk-based Training & Competence scheme for advisory staff to incorporate the requirements of the Senior Manager’s Regime and the Certification Regime
- Monitor adviser Key Performance Indicators, following up with One-to-One’s where deemed appropriate
- Distribute online staff tests and Continuing Professional Development assignments
- Undertake competency & skills assessments such as role plays and observations on Registered Individuals
- Identify learning gaps and design training, recovery and improvement plans as appropriate
- Liaise with the Risk & Compliance team to ensure effective communication of training and competence across the business.
- Liaise with the Head of Advice Proposition and QC Manager to always deliver a coherent message to advisers.

**Compliance Support**
- Handle queries and provide support for advisers regarding compliance matters
- Ad-hoc project work to support the compliance function.
- Provide support to the Quality Control team for high risk, and complex case reviews.

**On-boarding of Advisers and Appointed Representatives**
- Assist with the assessment and on-boarding of new AR firms and individuals
- Deliver staff inductions including data protection, anti-money laundering and ethics training and testing
- Manage outbound advisers and firms.

**Experience and Qualifications**

Financial Services T&C experience with a high level of written and numerical detail is essential, alongside technical knowledge of pensions and investments relating to Financial Advice.

You will already hold the Diploma level 4 qualification in Regulated Financial Planning and be willing to sit further required examinations.

**These opportunities are home based but you will be expected to travel (London/South East surrounding areas) to adviser firms to run T&C programs and build relationships with the Advisers.**
