**We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Yard Supervisor to join our team at Jewson Redhill (RH1 1HG)**

- **So, what are we looking for?**_

This role has a strong focus on customer service as well as working outside supervising the yard team, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with customers, has strong leadership qualities and enjoys working outdoors. Full workwear and PPE will be supplied for you. The person we're looking for will be:

- A positive team player who has existing supervisory experience
- A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items

A forklift licence would also be an advantage, however it’s not essential as we are happy to organise training for you.

**Hours of Work**:Full time - Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm and every 2nd Saturday 8am-12pm.
- **So, what will you be doing?**_

As a **Yard Supervisor** you will play a pivotal role in our branch by supervising the yard and it's team to deliver an excellent customer experience. You will be expected to make sure your team are fully compliant with best practice Health and Safety processes whilst working towards branch sales. From serving our customers to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoring stock to growing our sales, you’ll be at the heart of our operations Your day-to-day duties will include:

- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Get to know our product lines so you can offer help and advice to our customers
- Ensure your team are briefed and priorities are set for the day
- Help to pick and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided)
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
