**Looking for a role where you really make a difference that's packed full of job satisfaction? **If you share our values then we can provide you with all the training you need.
We're looking for outgoing and understanding individuals with a positive attitude to join our teams across East Dunbartonshire as **Support Practitioners**. We have full and part-time contracts available, along with relief opportunities if you're looking for something a little bit more flexible to fit around your commitments.
We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us. We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete a fully funded SVQ.
**The Role**
As a Support Practitioner you will provide support with a focus on maintaining or improving independence in all aspects of daily living, including cooking and meal preparation, personal care, administering medical and managing personal finances. Our team adopts a person-centred approach to provide the highest quality support to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, whilst also building excellent relationships with their families and carers. You’ll also play a key role in helping to organise diverse, meaningful and stimulating activities.
To be a great Support Practitioner we will need you have the following qualities;
- A genuine, caring nature with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Exceptional communication skills, including active listening.
- Committed to improving the lives of the people we support.
- Ability to build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with colleagues, including other agencies and health professionals.
- Competent in the use of technology to enhance the support you provide.
- Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support.
**Shift Patterns**
As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual. Shift patterns vary between services and some roles will include sleepovers and Waking Nights.
**Our sleepover shifts do not form part of your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional payment of £84.00 for an 8 hour sleep-over, £94.50 for a 9 hour sleep-over or £105.00 for a 10 hour sleep-over depending on the needs of the service**. For our Waking Night roles, you will receive an additional £20 per night on top of your hourly rate.**
**Have questions? Please contact Sarah Stewart on 07980795734.**
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
