JPM Logistics are looking for a full time Yard Operative to join the team at their Gateshead hub located in the Team Valley Trading Estate. Working in partnership with The Modern Milkman, JPM Logistics provides a multi drop delivery service, delivering fresh milk and groceries 6 nights a week to households across the North East. As part of this fast paced environment, your role will be to prepare orders and loads for the delivery drivers whilst assisting the hub manager with the day to day operation of the warehouse.

**The role**:

- Sorting and picking orders for delivery drivers.
- Intake of deliveries.
- Working 4pm till 12am, Sunday to Friday (6 nights a week)
- General housekeeping ensuring all areas are clean and safe, maintaining our ‘clean-as-you-go’ policy
- Daily stock checks and counting
- Assisting hub manager with orders and reports
- Completing daily temperature checks and maintaining food hygiene standards.

**Basic requirements**:

- Excellent numeracy skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good time keeping skills and reliability (in turn, Hub managers can be flexible with times and days)
- Ability to adapt to ever changing parameters
- Motivated to improve Health & Safety
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.

**What you'll need**:

- Ability to work well under pressure, on your own and as part of a team
- Computer literate (experience on Microsoft Excel)
- Experience on Google Sheets (an advantage but not necessary as full training provided)
- Driving licence and own car for commuting (due to hours worked public transport is limited)

**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year
