We are recruiting a Physician Associate, _on a fixed term contract of 12 months _, to join the General Surgery team at Torbay Hospital. As a key member of the clinical team, the Physician Associate will work in General surgery directorate comprising of upper GI, colorectal and urology teams. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday with expectation to work in some weekends on a rotational basis in future.

Our busy unit is looking for an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Physicians Associate who is keen to embrace the challenge and contribute in our surgery team. The role involves supporting emergency team in emergency week and undertaking ward, clinic and theatre work in elective week. The role will support other services such as ambulatory and day case as needed for patient flow as well as contributing to decision making for patients to be admitted, transferred or discharged.
