**Job Description - TPA Property Claims Handler**
**Role Summary**
This is an office-based role, in the Acumen Claims Ltd office in Annesley, Nottinghamshire. The TPA Claims Handler is responsible for managing and processing property and contents insurance claims on behalf of insurers. The role involves ensuring that claims are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The TPA acts as an intermediary between the insurance company, policyholders, and other third parties, providing expert guidance and support throughout the claims process and the handler leads this responsibility for claims allocated to their case load.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Receive and review claims submitted by policyholders.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of claim submissions and supporting documentation.
- Investigate claims to determine the validity and extent of liability.
- Coordinate with insurers, policyholders, and third parties to gather necessary information.
- Act as the primary point of contact for policyholders, insurers, and third parties regarding claims.
- Provide clear and concise updates to all stakeholders on the status of claims.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by policyholders or third parties promptly.
- Maintain detailed and organised records of all claims activities and correspondence including accurate data entry.
- Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all claims are processed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential fraud and take appropriate action to mitigate risk.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and regulations that may impact claims processing.
- Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Three or more years’ experience in property and contents insurance claims management.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, claims procedure and legal regulations.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Cert CII or Cert CILA would be desirable.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
