Do you have an IBMS accredited degree in Biomedical Science and seeking a career in laboratory medicine?

Working as part of the Eastern Pathology Alliance,you will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings -Lynn, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a cutting edge Laboratory encompassing Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Transfusion and Andrology.

You do not require previous laboratory experience for this role as we will provide full training, we are looking for dedication,enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Only applicants with an IBMS accredited degree are eligible for this position. We are unfortunately unable to offer certificate of sponsorship for bank positions.

1. As post holder you will support the effective, consistent and efficient running of Spoke Blood Sciences services. Perform a range of routine and non-routine tasks within Biochemistry, Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Andrology. Obtain samples for biological testing, perform standard biological tests, process blood and other fluids for analysis ensuring sample integrity is maintained at all times.

This role requires the daily use of the Pathology IT systems to a high level of accuracy when inputting patient information and test data. Ensure that all duties within their service are carried out in accordance with the Trust and Departmental policies.

**The Eastern Pathology Alliance is a Network of three Trusts**: The Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust, The Queen Elizabeth NHS Foundation Trust and the James Paget NHS Foundation Trust (Gt. Yarmouth) with Norwich hosting the Hub Laboratory and the QEH and JPUH Spoke Laboratory’s.

As a Network we are able to call on the vast experience of both Senior Biomedical Scientists as well as Pathology Consultants from across the Network to assist with our active training of new staff.

You will be based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn but will be an employee of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and as such be part of a workforce of over 10,000 staff
