Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Practitioner to join our team in the Plaster Room, within the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for patients with a range of trauma and orthopaedic conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work in the Plaster Room, within the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department, caring for patients with a range of trauma and orthopaedic conditions.
  • Develop and maintain skills to undertake the application and removal of plaster casts and splints.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide efficient, holistic, and high-quality care.
  • Ensure care provision is in accordance with Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Possess British Orthopaedic Association Registration.
  • Hold British Casting Certification.
  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification or foundation degree in healthcare or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Specialist Post-Certificate Casting qualifications.
  • Experience of working as an orthopaedic practitioner in a plaster room within a hospital setting.
  • Previous experience with dealing with members of the public or voluntary group activities.
