**Job Title: Head of Projects**
**Job Overview**:
As the Head of Projects at a global training company, you will play a pivotal role in steering the planning, execution, and successful delivery of our people change projects. This role encompasses high-level planning, resource allocation, risk management, and strategic alignment, requiring a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management within the people development or organisational training industry.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Project Leadership**:
Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of people development programs. Ensuring that we are measuring success and delivering to the highest quality whilst mitigating risks.
Provide strategic direction to project team, delivery, aligning project goals with organisational objectives and client expectations.
- **Client Engagement**:
Act as the primary escalation point of contact in the projects team for clients whilst establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, customize project plans accordingly, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the engagement.
Track and focus on client renewals by collaborating with delivery, sales and Directors to ensure the overall financial success of the business.
- **Team Management**:
Lead and motivate a team of project managers and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Ensure the team is supported to hit their SMART KPI’s and review regularly.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members. We are strong believers in professional development not only for our clients but internally too.
- **Resource Planning and Allocation**:
Efficiently allocate resources, manage project budgets, and optimise project timelines to meet client deliverables.
Effectively onboard and manage a pool of global associate facilitators to ensure their ability to deliver our programmes. From time to time you will be expected to negotiate commercial terms with those facilitators.
Identify and address potential project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
Spearhead process improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback and lessons learned from past projects to enhance overall project delivery efficiency. Look to implement a new project management tracking tool.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, integrating innovative approaches into project management methodologies. Our standard approach to Project Management is the Agile methodology.
- **Reporting and Visibility**:
Generate monthly reports for the Managing Director offering a 3-month visibility of projects.
Introduce real-time project status reporting and resource utilisation metrics.
**Desirable qualifications, competencies & behaviours**:
Advanced degree or certification in Project Management is preferred. Agile project management is our preferred methodology.
Proven experience: Minimum of 10 years in project/programme management, with a focus on people development or organisational training projects.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Must be structured, well-organised and personal for client facing interactions.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
