**Health and Safety Compliance Officer - SL3**

**Salary**: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

You will be responsible for ensuring the company operates within legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal/ external policies and procedures. You will work closely with various departments to develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs.
- Conduct compliance training for employees.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Prepare reports on compliance activities.
- Support compliance Manager with the management of the company Health & safety. Management system and maintain to the standard of ISO.
- Assist with creating, review and implementation of RA's, SSOW's and method statements.
- Support compliance manager with ADR, COSHH, COMAH wherever necessary.
- Reviewing/ Implementing of environmental policies and procedures.
- Newsletters, compliance bulletins, audits, personal file check etc.
- Any other asks as requested by the management.
- Demonstrate and exercise understanding regarding HACCP systems and adherence to the BRC Global Standard (for Storage & Distribution)
- Keep up to date with changes to regulations and legislation affecting the business including H&S, Environmental and HMRC and communicate where necessary to the management teams & workforce enabling operating procedures to be created and continually reviewed
- Local Authority -engage and maintain dialogue with essential services such as Slough Borough Council, Berkshire Fire & Rescue Services, Thames Valley Police, Colnbrook Community Association, etc
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Great attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
