**Lunchtime Supervisor Early Years Educator Apprenticeship position at Happy Days Nursery**
Our nursery offers three bright, spacious play areas, packed with exciting activities and a soft baby room, away from loud noises and rambunctious children. We’re proud to offer fresh meals made onsite by our cook, providing nutritious lunches and snacks. We cater to children’s needs and allergies such as vegetarian diets. Our 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating shows how seriously we take our food.
Our fully enclosed outdoor play area offers grass and tarmac surfaces, a covered area for wet play and a five-star mud kitchen. With bikes, obstacle courses and races, our outdoor area is perfect for little athletes.
**Apprenticeship Overview**:
- ** Salary**:£6.40 per annum, _Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds_
- **Working Week**: Monday - Friday 11am - 3:30pm (22.5 hours per week, 38 weeks Term-Time)
- **Expected duration**:19 months
- Online apprenticeship training supported by our skilled tutors
- Level 2 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship standard qualification

**Child Care and Development**:
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that cater to each child's developmental stage and interests.
- Maintain accurate records of key children's development and learning journeys, sharing updates with parents, carers, and other key adults.
- Ensure mealtimes are pleasant social experiences.
- Attend to children's hygiene needs, including washing, changing, and monitoring their well-being.
- Respond promptly to any medical concerns, keeping unwell children calm and notifying management immediately.
**Team Collaboration and Professional Development**:
- Support and collaborate with staff members, fostering a positive team environment.
- Participate in out-of-hours activities, such as training sessions, staff meetings, parent evenings, and fundraising events.
- Embrace flexibility within the nursery's working practices, assisting where needed, including with domestic duties like snack preparation and cleaning equipment.
- Uphold the nursery's philosophy and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
**Parent and Family Engagement**:
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships and open communication with parents/carers to address day-to-day caring and early learning needs.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Accurately record accidents in the accident book, ensuring the Duty Manager initials the report before sharing it with parents.
- Ensure children are released only to known and agreed-upon individuals.
- Respect the confidentiality of all information received.
- Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
- Uphold the nursery's high profile and standards both during and outside work hours.
