Payroll Administrator

This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-time payroller within an accountancy practice based in Doncaster. Working alongside a payroll team to support them two days a week with the following responsibilities:
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls for clients of different sizes.
- Address client inquiries about payroll, PAYE, NIC, and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Complete paperwork for clients regarding tax queries.
- Handle routine HMRC queries on behalf of clients.
- Calculate and maintain records of payments owed to HMRC.
- Organise and maintain payroll files for potential HMRC inspections.
- File relevant payroll information in client folders.
- Collaborate with internal teams on client payroll matters.
- Prepare BACS payments for clients' pay dates, including remittance payments when necessary.
Person specification:
- Experience in running payroll from end to end is essential.
- Knowledge of payroll legislation/HMRC requirements.
- You must be a confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- You will be accurate, methodical, and organised. Good IT skills are essential.
