This is a great opportunity to lead the Development QA & Systems Test team in all aspects of personal and product development.

There would be focus on developing and verifying high quality, reliable products that conform to the multitude of worldwide regulations.

Working with the Senior Hardware Engineering Manager, this is a great opportunity to use your industrial design and verification experience, win with a great team and build relationships across the diverse Engineering departments.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Leading and motivating the Development and Test team, implementing, and driving critical thinking, demonstrating, and developing technical competence with speed.
- Responsibility for the accelerated product development and verification of new products from prototype through to final production. These robust systems include integration with sophisticated software, mechanical, electronics and fluid systems to meet ourcustomers’ high expectations.
- Developing, leading, and enhancing quality driven strategy and processes, such as DFSS (design for Six Sigma), DFR (Design for Reliability), FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), Design reviews and implementing a robust product verification and validationprogram, to ensure successful on time product launches.
- Working across departments from a development and verification perspective, developing rapport and engagement, whilst meeting agreed outcomes including quality, performance, time to market, sustainment and overall product cost.
- Continuously improves systems and processes across the business in conjunction with the wider team, developing new technologies and standard toolsets (FMEA, standardised test plans, FRACAS) to help reduce design time, right first time, whilst also bringingnew insights and engagement.
- Technical specialist on all product development and verification matters, including responsibility for the regulatory requirements and compliance for machine safety in a global market, whilst ensuring and maintaining a professional and safe working environment.

**Your previous experience will include**:

- Honours Degree in Engineering or time-served experience in a relevant industry.
- Working in and leading a multidisciplinary development and test team to develop industrial components and products, within an Engineering department of a commercial company for at least 10 years.
- Knowledge on topics covering software, electronics, and mechanical engineering, including sophisticated system integration requiring analytical skills and great problem-solving ability.
- Expert use of DFSS, DFR, FMEAs, Design reviews and other quality processes to ensure product reliability and quality.
- Familiar with the safety and regulatory requirements of placing an electro/mechanical product on the worldwide market.
- Experience with CIJ, CAD, Modelling, 3D Printing, software scripting a distinct advantage.
