Job Summary

Premier Engineering is seeking an experienced Engineering Quality Lead to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and quality management, with experience in working with industrial electrical products.

About the Role

The Engineering Quality Lead will be responsible for ensuring the company's products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This will involve assessing product compliance and reliability, leading compliance and regulatory activities, and working closely with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure that products meet CE regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing electrical product compliance and reliability for relevant regulations and governing bodies
  • Working with the design and manufacturing team to ensure products are in line with standards
  • Leading compliance and regulatory activities to improve product and process reliability
  • Working with other teams to meet CE regulations
  • Assisting in the auditing process for the facility
  • Ensuring components are manufactured with environmental standards in mind
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in engineering or a related field (NVQ / HNC / HND or similar)
  • Experience in a similar quality, compliance, certification, reliability or similar role
  • Industry experience within engineering and manufacturing
  • Previous experience working with industrial electrical products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exposure to various governing bodies and regulations
  • Capability of leading compliance and reliability activities
  • Previous experience with ISO9001, AS9100, IATF16949 or similar
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivation and a positive attitude
  • Good problem-solving skills
Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £42,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you can expect a range of benefits including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
