Finance Assistant

Here at Logic Fire & Security, we are currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join our accounts team located in Knaresborough. Your primary role will involve supporting the Assistant Finance Manager in maintaining daily accounting procedures. Additionally, you will be tasked with promptly addressing inquiries and collaborating with various departments to obtain necessary information.
**What we offer**:
We offer a pro rata salary ranging from £24,000 to £28,000. Additionally, we provide 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, and an extra day off on your birthday. There's also the opportunity to purchase additional holiday time.
**Key areas of responsibility**:
- Cultivate professional relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Handle invoicing and credit control tasks, including managing payment terms, addressing invoice queries, and overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Manage client accounts and supplier credit accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in transactions
- Perform credit card and expense reconciliations, while also providing statistical information to management and completing Excel spreadsheets to support financial analysis and reporting
**Experience required for the role**:
- Confident in dealing with clients and suppliers, coupled with commercial awareness to navigate business transactions effectively
- Demonstrated previous experience in accounts, showcasing proficiency in various financial tasks
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage client expectations and requirements successfully
- Ability to understand and control budgets, coupled with a high level of numeracy to accurately handle financial data and calculations
