Aspire Jobs are working with our client, a well-established and professional services firm, to help them recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant/bookkeeper.
Working within their busy Business Advisory department, you will be providing a full accounts admin support service to the team.
The accounts’ assistant role will see you supporting the Client Service Managers as well as running your own small portfolio of sole trader clients.
**Duties will include: -**
- Issuing invoices via their system
- Maintaining client details
- Deliver year end accounts for client review and approval and submission to HMRC
- Scan completed manual files
- Run client’s payroll - (would like, but not a must-have)
- Undertake bookkeeping for clients along with requesting information and filing VAT returns
- Prepare small trader and partnership accounts and associated personal tax returns
The successful Accounts Assistant will:
- Have previous accounts and bookkeeping experience
- Experience of professional services environment.
- Full knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management.
- Knowledge of Xero/QuickBooks and other bookkeeping software
- Ideally have knowledge of payroll process
- Knowledge of preparing Sole trader and Partnership accounts
- Knowledge of preparing basic personal tax returns
- Be IT Literate
We are looking for a team player, who has excellent attention to detail and can work to high standards of accuracy. You will be able to work to strict deadlines and have the ability to multi task. Good communication skills (written and verbal) are essential,as are good organisational skills and the willingness to problem-solve.
