We have an exciting opportunity for a **Group HR Advisor** to join our small HR team on a **fixed term** basis as maternity cover until August 2024. The role will provide Denholm Energy Services and its subsidiary companies with an effective generalist HR Service. To act as main point of contact on contractual and people issues, escalating to Group HR Manager where necessary. Working with the Group HR team to deliver a best practice HR service for managers and employees that supports and delivers Company objectives.

**The core responsibilities include**:

- First point of contact for HR queries, handling ER casework and escalating key aspects when necessary.
- Provide an advisory service to employees and managers across the group.
- Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Support line managers with grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings.
- Work in partnership with line managers on absence management, performance management, resourcing and staff management/development.
- To carry out general administrative duties in relation to the monthly payroll on Zellis and holiday cover for weekly payroll process.
- To support with the day-to-day operation of the Group HR function.
- Be responsible for guiding and supporting the HR Administrator on the maintenance of accurate and confidential personnel records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment, variation of terms as and when required.
- Assist in the research, review and updating of HR policies and procedures.
- Performance Reviews: co-ordinate our annual performance review process.
- Provide support to the Group HR Manager with key HR project work as appropriate.
- Any other reasonable duties in order to ensure the smooth running of the HR department.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Chartered CIPD membership is preferred but not essential.
- Good communication skills to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- High level of IT literacy, proficient in Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Highly organised & efficient.
- High level of confidentiality and can demonstrate the ability to work meticulously and accurately.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle changing workload priorities.
- Evidence of a positive, proactive and flexible approach.
- Energetic and resilient.
- Experience in conducting internal HR Audits.
- Experience of designing and delivering training.
- Full and clean driving licence is essential.

**Technical Requirements**:
Competence with Microsoft office, especially Excel is essential and prior experience with SD Worx or Zellis would be welcomed.
