Technical Support Officer

North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOE CPC) is hosted by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) and provides collaborative and bespoke procurement solutions to the public sector. A wholly NHS owned organization, the NOE CPC brings together a wealth of experience, understanding and knowledge, providing collaborative procurement and commercial solutions to the public sector and is one of the leading players in collaborative procurement within the NHS in England.
We have a vacancy for a Technical Support Officer, in the Technical Services department of the Technical Services NHS Supply Chain team.
As a member of the Technical Services Department (CMSP) you will need to:
Have experience with a first-line technical support environment, able to triage technical issues and either resolve them or escalate as appropriate within the team, both in-person and via remote tools
Possess good knowledge of data, information systems and infrastructure grounded in professional training or experience - specifically Microsoft 365 and MS Teams
Have experience with administrative roles - management of documentation, diaries, minute-taking, prioritisation of actions, booking meetings and travel as appropriate
Understand, or have an interest in learning about, technical project and programme management within the NHS
Be self-motivated, organized, technically switched-on and a logical and innovative thinker
Support the wider NOE CPC team our supplier base and member organisations in improving their understanding of their data and their journey to data maturity.
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. NOECPC’s technical platform is built on the Microsoft cloud platform, and we are looking for an engaged, technically-skilled first-line support officer to join a team of four in both maintaining the organization’s systems, and developing them to face new challenges.
**Main responsibilities can be divided into three key areas**:
Supporting end users providing first-line contact for staff and suppliers experiencing issues around IT, systems or technical matters - communicating clearly and in an accessible way with staff who have a broad range of technical skill, and determining what is appropriate to escalate. Managing and updating the MIO portal and keeping track of supplier submissions.
In support of the Category Management Service Provider Data Analysts, providing systems and reporting administration support, covering off Microsoft 365 tenant management, Azure and Azure Data Factory management, and administration of Power Platform/Dynamics 365;
Supporting the team on data management for key business systems and supporting the broader Technical Services department with administration and project support.
A high level of engagement with Microsoft products, especially Microsoft 365 Tenant Management, Microsoft Intune/Endpoint, Azure/ADF and Dynamics 365/Power Platform, is highly desirable.
The CMSP Technical Services team consists of two data analysts, line managed by the Technical Services Manager.
