Hitachi Energy are looking for a Quality, **Continuous Improvement and Project, Graduate** to join our growing team. The role will be homebased with some presence required at our new Birmingham city centre offices.

Quality and Continuous Improvement are key to the growth and development of the business from learning from past mistakes and identifying opportunities to improve. The quality of projects and feedback from our customers enables the business to develop and maintain being a market leader with our offerings. Through Monitoring and managing our projects we can ensure continued growth and development of our people and organisation.

Key areas of responsibility:

- General Support to the Quality and Continuous Improvement department within Power Consulting including process audits, project support and improvement projects
- A skilled communicator, with a professional and enthusiastic manner.
- Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise and organise workload and actions to meet the demand of the Team and Organisational needs.
- This position involves working in a busy environment where accuracy, quality and timely completion of work is all paramount.

**Responsibilities**:
**Customer Project Contribution**
- Clarify queries and Project charters for customers.
- Interact with key internal stakeholders to achieve key deliverables.
- Exercise judgement on limited details of work
- Interacts with other staff and team members within one’s scope of deliverable
- Follow work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility
- Ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Support on reporting and development of continuous improvement program
- Lead CI projects locally and globally
- Help support others countries on basic root cause analysis and CI projects
- Lead Q & CI area within UK team
- Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Reports process and tool inefficiencies, along with suggesting ideas for improvement.

**Quality**
- Support Global Power Consulting auditing improvement program
- Support on local ISO audit certifications
- Support from quality perspective on smaller projects within UK

**Team & Administration**
- Managing a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications
- Monthly Reporting and Analysis of Power Consulting Operational KPI’s
- Manages time/tasks through action plan
- Supports on tasks for wider team
- Undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required

**Development**
- As part of the program to enhance development we will support with additional trainings in Lean Six Sigma and Quality auditing through variety of External/internal courses and on the job experience over the 2 year programme

**Background**:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or Business Management, is required
- Knowledge of Quality and Continuous Improvement, preferred
- Written and oral fluency English
- Presentation and Excel Skills
