**Your new role**

National Highways currently has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Senior Advisor of Asset Systems and tools to join our team within Safety, Engineering and Standards directorate.

We are transforming our asset management approach and delivering the Asset Management Transformation Programme (AMTP) over the current road period 2. The AMTP includes a dedicated area of work to improve our asset information, including delivering an Asset Management System Strategy and Roadmap to transform our system and tools used to support asset management decision making; supported by improved data and information governance to improve our access to the right information and data to better inform our investment decisions.

As part of the transformation, we are replacing several our asset management systems and tools to ensure that we can continue to provide access to the data and information needed to maintain and renew our key assets. This position will lead on the continuous improvement of our asset systems and tools, ensure they are delivered and subsequently supported in line with our asset management and system strategies. Deliver effective engagement and communications to ensure key stakeholders retain interest, risks are managed, and benefits are publicised.

You will manage own performance and that of stakeholders to drive outcomes, enacting remedial measures where needed.

**What you’ll be leading on**
- Supporting the delivery of key asset management system replacement projects
- Lead the continuous improvement of key asset business systems, supporting the delivery of system enhancements.
- Chair the system user community forums and ensure alignment of outputs with the Asset Management Systems Strategy (AMSS)
- Be the conduit between system users, business stakeholders, functional and technical teams.
- Manage asset management system queries working in collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Develop and track system user community governance reporting.
- Develop, track and manage RAID items in accordance with governance.

**To be successful you’ll need**:

- Extensive and relevant experience of implementing and managing continuous improvement governance.
- Proven project management experience with direct responsibility of leading the procurement and delivery of complex projects, technical and business changes.
- Ability to translate business system strategy requirements into tasks in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Evidence of managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proven experience of finance awareness and the ability to manage budget.
