This is a really exciting time to join us. The Marketing and Communications Directorate has recently implemented a new structure which has created an opportunity for us to grow our School and College Recruitment Team.

We are delighted to advertise for a School and College Recruitment Officer to develop relationships with a core group of target schools and colleges in London and the South East of England. Working within a vibrant and fast paced Student Recruitment Team,the day-to-day role will involve direct engagement with potential students, teachers, careers staff and parents, promoting higher education, and more specifically DMU,via presentations, workshops and at exhibitions.

This is a role where no two days are the same and offers a flexible hybrid model with a large proportion of your time in schools and at events and the remainder a balance between office based and home working. Relationship management will be key with theprimary objective being to establish trust and rapport with primary contacts, leading to an increase in DMU activity, leading in turn to growth in awareness of, and applicants to the University.

You will have a recruitment mindset, strong relationship management skills and bring excellent communication and presentation skills to the role. Organisation and time management are valuable attributes, managing a busy diary and communicating with a widerange of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be a people person, gaining job satisfaction from numerous aspects of the role, ranging from generating a booking with a new account, delivering a high impact morning assembly to a large audience through to analysing positive feedback at the endof an on-campus event.

Your ability to work independently, generating bookings by building rapport and trust will be the foundation of your success, whilst the enjoyment you gain working as part of a supportive team, will help ensure you feel a member of a collective working towardsmutual goals.

With this specific role manging accounts in and around London and the South East of England region ideally you will live either in, or within easy reach, of that geographical area.
