**POST TITLE**: Student Recruitment Assistant

**POST REFERENCE**: REC-ASST

**SALARY**: Support Scale 5 (£24,652-£26,751)

**HOURS**: 36 per week, 52 weeks per year (1 year fixed term)

**LOCATION**: Multi-site with base at Southgate and WFH

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the Marketing Team to optimise and manage our enquirers’ and applicants’ experience.

You will have a crucial role at Barnet and Southgate College. As well as being a friendly and efficient first point-of-contact for enquirers, applicants and other stakeholders, you will proactively seek to review and improve our ways of working, streamlining processes where relevant and ensuring a good customer experience is at the heart of what we do.

You’ll be involved across the whole marketing team’s work - from managing enquiries to maintaining social media and providing support for events and school engagement.

You will have experience in Customer Service or administrative roles, working independently and on your own initiative. You’ll be able to demonstrate how you have improved processes and championed customer’s interests. You will be self-motivated and able to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines, and ideally you will have experience of working in a large, complex organisation.

**MAIN DUTIES**

2. Being the first point of contact for applicants and other stakeholders
3. Identifying creative and innovative ways of engagement with applicants
5. Working closely with Admissions and Information Systems to be able to engage efficiently with existing applicants to answer their enquiries and provide them with relevant communication

6. Actively using social media to engage with stakeholders and applicants
7. Monitoring the applicants’ experience and pro-actively improving their journey
8. Supporting the broader marketing team when required - events, school visits, open days, content development, data analysis

**General duties and responsibilities**
1. To provide a helpful, professional and flexible service to internal or external customers of the department or the College.
2. To act in accordance with College values and positively represent Barnet and

Southgate College in all aspects of your work.
3. To operate in accordance with the College’s policies and procedures.
4. To act in a safe manner which safeguards the health and safety of yourself and others.
5. To be aware of equality and diversity, the needs of customers and learners and demonstrate these principles in all aspects of your work.
6. To be familiar with and comply with the College’s safeguarding requirements which protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
7. To participate in and take responsibility for your own learning and development
8. To provide cover or support for other members of your team and undertake any other duties required by your line manager appropriate to your position within the organisation. This includes attending other Barnet and Southgate College campuses if required.

NOTE: Please be aware that the duties and responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive, nor are they shown in the order of priority or frequency. They may be varied from time to time after consultation with the post holder. You may, from time to time, be required to work evenings, Saturdays or on a Sunday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
