We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic communications and events officer to assist the Head of Alumni and Engagement in the following areas:

To plan and coordinate the annual series of development events – create guest lists, send and monitor invitations, create briefing notes and arrange events logistics. To scope, secure and book suitable venues or locations for events, co-ordinating venue hire arrangements, caterers, contractors, and equipment hire, where required. Supporting the delivery of creating stories and content for different channels, including the website and social media platforms. Liaise with the School Archivist to promote stories and events from the archive, assisting them when needed.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience coordinating and delivering high level events. Experience managing multiple stakeholders. The ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple events at once. Strong influencing skills. Exceptional problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills. The ability to interact comfortably and professionally with donors, alumni, parents, and pupils and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality. Be experienced in IT with the ability to use and manage systems, including the use of Raiser’s Edge, ToucanTech, or similar database.
