**Shift Pattern**:Mondays - Sundays, working any hours between 7am and 11pm. Working 5 days out of 7 days (on rota)

**Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust** provides hospital-based services from three main sites - theAlexandra Hospital in Redditch, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre, and Worcestershire Royal Hospitalin Worcester.

We provide a wide range of services to a **population of 580,000** people in Worcestershire as well as caring for patients from surrounding counties and further afield.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- To provide a portering and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments including A&E admissions to wards and transfers between A&E, X-ray and wards.
- To collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays and medical gas cylinders.
- To be responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling and clinical waste.
- To ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, and disposed of in line with the site requirements.
- To comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above._

**You'll have the following skills/experience**:

- Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
- Eye for detail
- A good understanding of spoken and written English.
- Trained in Manual Handling
