We are currently seeking an experienced and talented **HR Generalist** to join our high performing team.
**REPORTING TO**: HR Manager
**LOCATION**:Based in our Head Office in Carnbane Industrial Estate, Newry
**CONTRACT TYPE**: full-time, permanent.
**HOURS**:Monday - Friday, office hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am-2.30pm Fridays.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Support the HR Manager to ensure the provision of a high-quality Human Resources service for all employees.
- Act as a point of contact for queries from employees and management, either providing timely and accurate advice or signposting on as appropriate.
- Establish, develop, and maintain excellent relationships with all managers and colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate employee personnel files and data through effective use of the HRIS, ensuring adherence to data protection guidelines.
- Drafting contracts of employment for review by the HR Manager and issuing once approved.
- Arrange the on-boarding of new employees, booking induction sessions as required.
- Supporting with ensuring that all subcontractors are inducted before attending our sites.
- Working alongside the Payroll department to ensure that all information in relation to pay arrangements for employees is communicated in a timely manner.
- Work alongside colleagues in the Engagement & Development department on matters relating to performance management, training and development, on-boarding and off-boarding, employee wellness and company social events.
- Support the HR Manager with employee relations cases through note taking, arranging meetings, acting as an investigator, drafting all relevant reports and letters.
- Support the HR Manager and line managers throughout the company with managing short
- and long-term absence.
- Ensure that line managers across the company play their part in performance management through carrying out their duties in relation to probation and annual appraisals.
- Support the HR Manager through the provision of high quality and accurate reports in relation to absence, turnover, fixed term contracts etc, as well as responding to ad hoc management requests for reports/data.
- Provide written communication to employees in relation to contractual and procedural changes.
- Attend careers fairs and events as and when required to promote the company.
- Work alongside our support functions within the business to promote and sustain a positive working environment.
- Support the implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Maintain own professional development, keeping up to date with all legislative changes and industry best practices.
- Any other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of one years’ experience working at HR Administrator level or similar, with experience gained in the following areas:
- Recruitment, including use of an ATS
- Use of a HR Information System such as Bamboo HR, PAMS, PeopleHR, SAPS Success Factors etc.
- Processing new starts and leavers.
- Drafting written letters and memos for employees.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Higher qualifications in relation to Human Resources and Business preferable but not essential.

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Professional manner and ability to deal with colleagues across all levels of the company, up to and including Directors.
- Organised and the ability to prioritise competing requests and varied workload.
- Collaborative approach to work and ability to work well within a team.
