**Job summary**:

As Ofgem’s Regulatory Models Expert, you’ll provide advice on regulatory framework related matters to: ExCo, the Board, Directorates, and other key stakeholders. An expert in your field, you’ll plan, oversee and set work deliverables to the highest standard through effective project management and support of multidisciplinary team members. You will also support the implementation of The Data Communications Company’s (DCC) new regulatory framework, providing expertise on regulatory arrangements, price control and incentive frameworks.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and has the ability to not only identify and actively manage a wide range of key stakeholder relationships, but can also build and support a high performing team to deliver high quality work that will achieve the desired outcomes.

You’ll have vast experience of working with different regulatory models, and knowledge of monopoly regulation, price controls, and incentive mechanisms. Just as importantly, you’ll need to have experience of working in a complex environment where you have advised and challenged senior leaders on strategic and operational performance related matters.

**Job description**:
**Purpose**
- Operate as Ofgem’s internal regulatory models expert, providing advice on regulatory framework related matters to: ExCo, the Board, Directorates, other key stakeholders
- Be the focal point and expert in a multi-disciplinary team in a specific work area in the context of operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model.
- Plan, oversee and deliver a set of work deliverables on time and to a high standard through effective project management and support of multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide inclusive corporate leadership, using your expertise to provide comprehensive knowledge sharing, support and development that demonstrate commitment to Ofgem values.

**Flexible Resourcing**

Operate a Flexible Resourcing model. Longer term, you may have the opportunity to work flexibly across Ofgem supporting on a range of projects or may have a longer deployment within a team where you have in-demand specialist skills, knowledge, and expertise.

- Ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative information, identify issues, and develop options and recommendations on a wide range of technical, commercial and policy issues.
