Strategic Communications Officer

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Strategic Communications Officer for our valued client Coventry University Group, a global education group with a mission of Creating Better Futures. This new role will play a key part in delivering StrategicCommunications, encompassing a range of channels, audiences, and stakeholders to deliver relevant and high-quality information. Producing engaging content with an audience focus will be key, as well as identifying the most appropriate route to target audiences.
As Strategic Communications Officer, you will be aware of the current political media landscape and how this affects higher education and the University specifically, analysing any impacts on strategic plans. To ensure key messages are seen by the right people,you will need to work with Marketing and Communications teams, and maintaining databases of stakeholders alongside a channels matrix. Producing a large variety of strategic communications alongside content creating colleagues, these will need to all be tailoredto ensure tone of voice and audience focus regardless of the medium or audience.
The ideal Strategic Communications Officer will:

- Be educated to a graduate level or with equal experience in a relevant field with a strong communication focus as well as a professional qualification and experience in delivering against operational plans
- Have in-depth understanding of the media and political landscape and how to develop international PR campaigns accordingly using events, blogs, and newsletters using outstanding communication skills
- Be able to respond rapidly to any changes in situ, and provide accurate reporting for media and campaigns
- Have a positive and flexible approach to work, and an appreciation for other cultures as part of a global organisation with an international agenda
