**Material Planner**:
**Role Accountabilities / Main Functions**:

- To issue schedules to suppliers on a regular basis using EDI or spreadsheets and monitor and follow up (expedite) all materials, ensuring that suppliers don't go into arrears and schedules are achieved
- To review stock holding in line with IAC policy keeping stocks to a minimum level with high stock turns
- To look at all new products and ensuring minimum obsolescence on run out or change control
- To always look at continuous improvements by using KPI's
- Adherence to IAC HSE Policy and procedures at all times
- Procurement of materials in-line with production and sales requirements
- Develops suppliers and the supply chain reducing costs and inventory levels as per company targets
- Procurement of materials in-line with production and sales requirements
- Control of Inventory levels in-line with Company/Corporate targets
- Active support in the development of Suppliers
- Active support of cost reduction activities in Transport & Packaging
- Active support of part and model changes participation in part and product implementation programmes
- Support of Customer (both internal and external)
- Maintenance and development of MPS, MRP and Vendor scheduling (incl. the Accelerate programme and other initiatives) to manage parts procurement using an integrated ERP system
- Support of other functional departments

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Significant experience in materials or purchasing
- Automotive industry experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills with all levels internally and externally
- Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach and take an active/leading role where required
- Capable of the development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives
- Excellent IT skills - MFG-PRO, QAD experience preferred
- Understanding of IATF 16949 / ISO9001 quality standards
