Overview:
We are seeking a number Learning Support Assistants to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals with autism and learning disabilities within establishments within the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. The role involves supporting children and adults with special needs in their daily activities and educational programmes.
**Duties**:
- Communicate effectively with individuals with autism and their families
- Provide care and support for children and young people with autism & learning disabilities
- Assist in implementing educational programmes tailored to the needs of each individual
- Work closely with special education teachers to support learning goals
- Help individuals develop essential life skills and independence
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism
- Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of special education practices and techniques
- Ability to educate and support individuals with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Pay: £85.37-£100.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
