**Why is this Head of People Services position a great opportunity?**

Head up the people service department reporting to the MD and actively participate in the senior management team. You will be responsible for managing the people strategy for infinity group, coaching line managers on how to enhance people skills within their team, and reporting on skills gaps within the company. This role will lead all recruitment, training, and people development projects for the business and act as a strategic advisor

**What skills and working characteristics should this person have?**:

- Broad HR experience with a strong background in talent development, training, and planning.
- Experience carrying out training need assessments and working with training providers.
- CIPD qualified - Level 5 or above (desirable)
- Able to be strategic and tactical when making business and or people-related decisions
- Brilliant at influencing employees at all levels
- Strong organisational and excel skills is desirable.

**Your key responsibilities as the Head of People Service will be to**:

- Organise and oversee all individual and team training programs
- Identifies required skills within the organization and develops training and procedures to ensure the current skills remain within the organization.
- Work with Line Managers to understand the benefits of these training programs and evaluate how the new skills gained are being integrated and applied into their team’s daily work.
- Develop and maintain a training needs skills matrix, centered around their training needs
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to craft meaningful development plans for promotion
- Identify talent and people development pathways through initiatives like apprenticeships
- Identify business needs, goals, and priorities to create and implement an effective diverse talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance.
- Manage the People Services team of People Services Administrator, Office Assistant, and two Internal Recruiters.
- Develop and implement people retention and engagement initiatives
- Accountable for managing all aspects of the recruitment, engagement, and training budget.
