Carer Experience and Engagement Coordinator

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a very forward-thinking Yorkshire and Humber involvement team.
The Role will support on involvement, engagement and co-production, using their own experience to understand what good looks and feels like for carers.
It will focus on supporting West Yorkshire secure services to improve carer experience. It will involve direct contact with carers and requires partnership working to co-produce, promote and present recommendations to staff and services. It will improve carer experience and promote positive engagement with family members and carers. Travel across West Yorkshire will ensure sharing of best practice.
This role is ideal for someone who is interested in and passionate about mental health services who champions the importance of lived experience and is not afraid to speak out against inequity and inequality.
Work with West Yorkshire services on Carer recommendations to raise Carer standards across the region.
Work across services to join up working and thinking on what good looks and feels like for Carers.
Sharing good practice and reducing unwarranted variation.
To in-reach and support services to deliver on quality outcomes pertaining to carers, especially where recommendations are set, or expectations lay with other professional bodies such as CQC and RCPSYCH Peer Reviews.
Strengthen relationships with known Carers within the region and open the door to new friends and family and build trust with someone who has experience of a family member using services.
