**Overview**

Rare opportunity to join a market leading e-commerce health and beauty business as Chief Financial and Operating Officer, CFOO. The brand produces products that are sold direct to consumer and via retail / wholesale partners, with a strong online presenceacross UK/Europe, US MENA, SE Asia.

With a multi-million pound turnover and further growth requiring an expert Financial and Operation partner, the role is available for a dynamic, qualified, entrepreneurial professional to join the business and contribute to the overall business plan andtrajectory.

**The Role**

The Chief Financial and Operating Officer will be a key member of the senior leadership team sitting alongside the company Founders. The role will ensure delivery of robust, timely and high-quality information on business performance; will support strategydevelopment and medium to long term business planning; will build and maintain a strong control environment befitting of a listed group; and ensure the business has a stable and efficient operating platform to facilitate continued growth and which can enhancecustomer loyalty.
- Responsible for leading end to end finance function encompassing transaction processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month end processes, reporting, cash and working capital management, budgeting and forecasting.
- Ownership of supply chain including procurement, demand planning, managing existing supplier relationships, and order fulfilment utilising third party logistics providers.
- Conducting a full review of existing systems, controls and processes overseeing board endorsement for recommended changes and implementing required improvements befitting of a listed group and fast-growing consumer brand.
- Building and implementing high quality reporting packs and dynamic, accessible management information which will withstand external scrutiny. These must be supported by clear and effective KPIs, which give insightful information at a granular level to enhancedecision making and increase profit.
- Ensuring the brand manages financial and operational risks and complies with local tax and legal obligations.
- Supporting the founding directors with strategic planning and delivery - providing sound commercially and operationally informed support to create a structured growth plan.
- Constantly review external trends and internal metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Building high quality working relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders - becoming recognised as a respected and valued member of the senior leadership team.
- Heavily involved in the motivation, drive, and development of new talent within the organisation.
- Managing and developing relationships with the parent group. Owning board and SLT agendas that drive strategic goals and instil confidence.
- Develop partnerships with key suppliers and business partners aimed at accelerating the company’s growth.
- Providing detailed financial modelling and scenario planning to support effective decision making, including on product pricing, positioning and territory expansion.
- Managing external audit and interface with group functions, ensuring tight reporting deadlines are adhered to.
- Other ad hoc work as required.

**Requirements**:

- A qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with over 5 years PQE and a well-respected degree
- Meaningful commercial exposure in your current role with evidence of positively impacting business performance, ideally within a consumer-focused business (e.g. retail/ FMCG)
- Been involved in strategy formation and monitoring
- Evidence of strong cash and working capital management
- Demonstrable evidence of undertaking finance, systems and/or operational transformation
- A strong understanding of e-commerce metrics and KPI’s
- Self-motivated with an enquiring mind - able to seek out and explore opportunities fully
- Highly analytical and data literate
- Exceptional attention to detail and presentation standards
- Gravitas and the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely - verbal and written
- Collaborative approach and able to inspire confidence and respect of cross functional teams
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Low ego with a team mentality and comfortable to take on basic tasks where required
- Capable of managing own workload and to deadlines across multiple workstreams at any one time

**Location**: Leeds / Remote
**Salary**: £125,000 - £150,000 per annum plus bonus (c. £225,000 total per annum)
