Purchase Ledger Administrator

Contributing as part of a team to maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function.
**Key Duties**
Accurate entry of purchase invoices and cashbook entries into the Pegasus accounting system
Reconciliation of the purchase ledger to supplier statements
Reconciliation of maintenance costs vs estimates in the Oracle database, escalating any discrepancies to the maintenance team
Preparation of payments to be passed to the accountant / Financial controller. Ensuring suppliers are paid on time
Reconciliation of fuel card invoices vs fuel costs tracker
Production of remittances for suppliers upon request
Responsibility for stock control of various items such as stationery, water and other office supplies
Purchasing of various office/facilities supplies, ensuring product quality and value for money
Supplier contract management, managing the renewal process, ensuring quality of service and value for money for contracts such as energy, waste management etc.
Resolution of all purchase ledger related queries from suppliers
General support to the team and assisting with other monthly and ad hoc duties as required
To ensure all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner
Observing safe working practices at all time, carrying out duties due care and in line with Company policies and procedures
Other ad hoc duties as required by the Company

**Person Specification**
**Experience**
Experience in a similar role is preferred
**Qualifications and competences**
GCSE Math’s and English advantageous
Methodical and process driven, proactive and energetic
High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
Good numeracy & literacy skills
Good IT skills, including an understanding of Microsoft packages
