**Position Overview**:
They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist (Rehabilitation, Personality disorder) to join our team and play a pivotal role in the establishment and development of our new mental health service in Manchester. The Consultant Psychiatrist will lead clinical assessments, provide expert psychiatric care, and contribute to the strategic planning and growth of our service. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental well-being of individuals within the community while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose and formulate treatment plans for patients presenting with a range of mental health conditions.
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric treatment and interventions, including medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic modalities, tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review patient progress, coordinate care plans, and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Offer expert clinical guidance and supervision to junior medical staff, including Specialty Doctors, Registrars, and other members of the clinical team.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and support staff, to deliver integrated and coordinated care services.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities, staying abreast of advances in psychiatric research, treatment modalities, and clinical guidelines.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives, quality assurance processes, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Participate in on-call duties and crisis intervention services as required, ensuring timely and responsive support for patients in acute distress.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Medical degree from a recognised institution and completion of specialty training in psychiatry.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Substantial experience working as a Consultant Psychiatrist, with a proven track record of providing high-quality clinical care across a range of psychiatric disorders and patient populations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading clinical teams, supervising junior staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and professional development.

**Salary**: £150,000.00-£160,000.00 per year
