**The Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic **Customer Service Advisor** to join our team at **JPS Chorley** working in partnership with Chorley Community Housing.

**Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS)** is a brand within **STARK Group** which specialises in providing building material solutions for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

This role is working with **JPS in Chorley** as part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

**Is this role right for me?**

As a Customer Service Advisor this role has a strong focus on Sales and Warehouse management, as well as supporting in other areas of the branch, so this role is great for someone who loves to build relationships with their team and customers and enjoys an active and varied fast paced role.

**Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 5PM (No weekend)**

**The person we're looking for will have**:

- A flexible approach to work; happy to work in various departments within the branch
- Ideally have had experience within the construction/building materials industry (although not essential)
- A great team player; ready to support colleagues and customers when needed
- A confident communicator, both over the phone and in branch
- Previous forklift experience desirable (training can be provided)
- Preferable experience of working on a trade counter. Providing excellent customer service whilst building strong customer relations
- Highly advantageous if possess sales experience within the construction industry and social housing sector
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- People's person with a strong relationship building ability
- Must be well presented and a hardworking, team player
- Driven, enthusiastic, hungry and lots of self-motivation
- Ambitious, looking for progression and wants to make a career for themselves
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)

Your day to day duties will be to:

- Dealing with customers on the trade counter in a friendly and efficient manner
- Processing orders, purchasing stock and taking stock levels
- Prepare quotations and follow up on them
- Maintaining high presentation standards in the working environment ensuring it is always kept clean, tidy and presentable
- Using forklift trucks and other equipment to prepare stock for delivery, but don't worry full training will be provided
- Accurately and efficiently identifying and picking stock to fulfil customer orders
- Maintain stock levels and regular stock checks
- Pick items to fulfil customer orders
- Assist in the loading of operatives vans and serving
- Unloading of supplier vehicles using a FLT where needed (training provided)
- Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate areas
- Learning products and processes in order to deliver a great customer experience
- Make Health & safety a priority and keep yourself and others safe at work
