We are seeking askilled Generator / Repair Engineer to join our clients team inShrewsbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for themaintenance and repair of a range of equipment and machinery. It isessential you have solid experience working withGenerators.

Tasks

Responsibilities:

  • To liaise withcustomers to support the service warranty claim repair andrefurbishment of the companys equipment doing so with clarity andprofessionalism either face to face over the phone by email orother communication methods.
  • To have capableI.T skills to be able to administer all service and adminwork.

. To carry out fault diagnoseson all company products engines (both diesel and petrol) andrelated components.

. To dismantle all types ofproduct engines and components clean and prepare to the requiredstandard ready for rebuilding.

  • Toassist production and carry out the mechanical buildingmodification servicing and repair of the complete range of companyproducts to customer exact specifications.
  • Toreplace all relevant parts as appropriate to ensure products areprofessionally repaired and put back into runningorder.
  • To ensure that all machine settings arecorrect and relevant testing is completed before machines aredispatched.
  • To ensure that all documentation(Engineer Service Reports / Case No) relevant to the repair/serviceis completed on time.
  • To carry out service andbreakdown calls at customer locations on all company products whenrequired. To advise management on all aspects of mechanicalengineering requirements.
  • To ensure thatenvironmental best practice is followed at all times and that spillkits on site and in the service vehicles are keptstocked.
  • To assist with the delivery andcollection of customers equipment.
  • To assistwith any company stock takes and ensure that the hire fleet profileis correct and available.
  • To ensure requiredstandards of housekeeping and tidiness are achieved and maintainedat all times.
  • To attend training courses as andwhen required.
  • Communicate with the InternalSupervisor on a regular basis the results activity progress andissues with suggested countermeasures.
  • Contribute to the daily sales effortand growth of the company
  • Succeed in attendingto regular operational distractions without losing time againstcore programmed objectives.
  • Establish a regularand clear method for reporting results and associateddata.
  • Maintain good working relations withinthe Company and relevant outsideorganizations.
  • Ensure compliance of alloperations to relevant legislation including Health and safetyEnvironmental Antibribery Antitrust competition and other relevantlaws policies and procedures.
  • Takeresponsibility for the physical and intellectual property plant andequipment within your area ofoperations.
  • Discharge all functions accordingto the current Company Handbook and relevantpolicies.
  • Be responsible for your training andskills levels in the broadest terms
  • Develop andmaintain an attitude of continuous improvement and cooperation inyour work and with all other departments
  • Takeon other reasonable tasks as and when requested by theDirector.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previousexperience as a Service Engineer or similarrole
  • Experience working withGenerators
  • Strong mechanical and electricalskills
  • Knowledge of health and safetyregulations
  • Excellent problemsolvingskills
  • Good communication and interpersonalabilities
  • Full UK drivinglicense
