**About the role**
- Wage is £10.15 per hour plus 10% shift rate, going to £11.00 per hour upon completion of probation period
- 3 shift rotation of earlies 6 - 2, middles 8 - 4 & late’s 2 - 10 with alternating Saturday mornings
- Ensuring that all deliveries of waste are following the site licence, and any associated paperwork is completed.
- Carry out inspections on incoming product(s) in line with the site Waste Acceptance Criteria and report any non-compliant loads.
- To direct customer’s vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
- Ensuring compliance with all material export requirements such as photo’s, paperwork and container seals.
- To comply fully with all company and local procedures.
- Contributing to lean and 5’s activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
- To work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation.
- Ensuring that SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job role.
- Control and monitor the operation in accordance with all authorised operating and quality procedures.
- Liaise with Site users assisting with any problems accessing the site’s automatic weighbridge.
- At all times contribute to the business objectives for the efficient operation of the Knowsley RTLS facility.
- Be willing to undertake developmental training to raise purchase orders and answer queries
- Liaise with emergency services
- Have excellent communication skills
- Co-operating with other employees in order to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation and Suez Policies and Procedures
- In line with Suez Values and Ethics Charter the job holder is expected to,
- Act in an honest, responsible and respectful manner to others. Be responsible for their own professional conduct.

**The Duties**

You will be operating on the weighbridge controlling the site activities and provide direction to incoming / outgoing vehicles to ensure effective traffic flow of vehicles around the site.

You will make sure that our site is compliant with the site permit (specifically around acceptance of waste).

As the control room operator, you will complete paperwork to ensure the site complies with legislation (e.g. weighbridge ticket checks and train plans).

We expect excellent customer service.

**The Person**

**What are the requirements?**
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
