Location / Lleoliad: Primarily based at The Town centre Hub, Merthyr Tydfil and/or Civic Centre / Lleolir, yn bennaf yn Hyb Canol y Dref, Merthyr Tudful a/neu yn y Ganolfan Ddinesig.

Job Purpose

To play a key role in the Council’s response to increasing levels of homelessness by engaging with communities, individuals and our partners to deliver comprehensive housing solutions advice and assistance.

To advertise key Council services and to encourage early engagement with them in order to alleviate and help prevent homelessness.

To attend multi-agency meetings, providing housing advice at critical times to prevent homelessness occurring.

To work in close partnership with the authority’s Training and Employability Team co-located at ‘The Hub’ in Merthyr Tydfil, to actively encourage individuals that are not in employment or training, to engage in training activities that may promote future employment opportunities, increasing income and reducing the risk of homelessness.
